Upcoming Events February 23 Recreational Ride, Pasadena Area/San Gabriel Mountains Lower Merrill/Inspiration Point to Sunset and El Prieto Trail. B+ Level
(Intermediate to Advanced). This is a 25-mile ride with lots of single
track, technical challenges and good ole SoCal history. For more
information, February 24 Recreational Ride, Simi Valley. Chumash/Hummingbird/Johnson Motorway. A- Level (Advanced). We will climb
Chumash Trail to the fireroad and then ride the swooping and fun fireroad
to the Hummingbird Trail, we will descend Hummingbird, a technical and
challenging downhill that tests the skills of the best riders. For
more information, February 24 Bicycle John's feeds the Tour of California Bicycle John's welcomes everyone to come and join us as we celebrate the Tour ofCalifornia. John and Mike will be greeting the racers and spectators at the crest of Mill Creek Summit on Sunday Feb.24th. This is such an exciting time and location to be able to watch racers from all over the world compete for the climb. They will be offering free food and drink to everyone that comes by and visits. Agenda items will include issues relating to the update of the California Recreational Trails Plan, the trail Change-in-Use Survey being implemented by California State Parks and a presentation on the planning and progress of the California Coastal Trail. February 27, 2008 at 9:00 AM March 1 - MTB Skills Class March 9 - Trail Mantenance Middle Merrill Trail (flier attached) We will be working on the Middle Sam Merrill Trail. This is a heavilyused trail and is seeing some wear and tear. The trail is in need ofsome brush work. There are also several ruts on the trail that are getting bigger with all the rain we have received. We will createsome rolling dip water diversions to get the water off the trail.CORBA will provide a meal for the Crew after the work day is done.
