It's hard to see in the photo, but this is a very well constructed drainage dip that will get the water off the road yet is gentle enough not to be a hazard to bicyclists. As you can tell, it's hard to see without any shadows!

Rocks have been built up on this slope to keep rainwater from washing away the side of the road when it runs off.
