Giant Bikes Trailwork Day in Newbury Park on January 16, 2015

The staff of Giant Bicycles wanted to give back to their local trails. They built a bypass of a steep, loose and marbley section of the Los Robles Trail West, just above the Felton Street Connector.

The route of the new trail has been cut through the caparral. The old, fall-line trail is to the left.

On the trail above the reroute, we cleaned out three drains that were clogged with dirt and built one new one.
IMG_0493.jpg
The drains run the water off the trail, preventing further rutting down the middle, where the water likes to run if it had its way.

Lunch at the Alamo afterwards, which Giant bought. Thanks for the new trail and the lunch, too!
